TC's Rib Crib (Las Vegas)

I may not know much about American food, but everyone knows that you have to try American style ribs if you have the chance. Finding cheap, satisfying food on the Las Vegas strip is pretty hard as I found out, but thankfully, I was taken out into the suburbs to try some amazing ribs instead.

Backstrap Ribs
See? Perfectly juicy, and fatty and altogether bad for me, these were deliciously smokey and generously sized. Happy would have been an understatement as I tucked into these ribs. I'll be honest though, I barely glanced at the rest of the menu as it was promised that this was the only dish worth ordering.

The accompanying cornbread was soft and sweet, and the sweet potato fries were decent, if not the best I've had. I'm still not sure why most salads here come with cheese (I picked my way around that neon orange stuff) but at least it went some way towards making my meal a little healthier. Not that I was paying much attention in the end - the ribs themselves were the star of the show.

This place really is a family affair, and a far cry from the lights of Vegas. If you want great ribs though, come here, and don't worry that the knife and fork provided are completely useless as you'll be using your hands anyway. That way, you can lick the last scraps of sauce off them too.
