It's been a very busy start to the year for me. I imagine it's been a very busy start to the year for many people actually - indeed, when I caught up with Ames she'd just started her new job at a law firm. Pretty impressive and a well deserved position!
I didn't particularly feel like searching for something new and popular for lunch, so ended up in Equitable Place where she recommended we try Fugazza, a little Italian cafe that specialises in 'fugazza' (Tuscan focaccia) using hand-made sourdough bread.

I was being a bad food blogger and didn't actually try one of their specialities. Ames however greatly enjoyed her eggplant parmigiana.

Filled with roasted eggplant, grana padano and mozzarella cheeses, fresh basil and napoli sauce she deemed it incredibly good. As you can imagine, a good part of that is a result of the quality of the bread used. She also ordered a salad to lighten things up a bit.
The salads rotate on a regular basis, and on this occasion she decided on the bocconcini, semi-dried tomatoes and mixed greens mix.

| Beetroot, Fetta, Minted Chickpeas and Baby Spinach |

The food is ok, but the servings are perhaps on the small side. Service is fast, efficient and friendly, but next time I'm likely to find something a little more satisfying.
