It was a rainy morning when I arranged to catch-up for breakfast with a friend to discuss important life issues and the like. We couldn't find our first choice cafe (probably because I'm blind), but stumbled across The Workers' Food Room.

The Workers' Food Room |
It's a small cafe tucked away from the main road, but it had a steady stream of customers while we were there. The sweet selection at the front counter was really tempting, but as much as I would have liked getting a sugar hit, warming up my belly seemed more important.
There's your standard selection of breakfast fare, but I took one look at the Zucchini Fritters on the menu and was sold.

Zucchini Fritters with Bacon and Poached Egg |
Warm, crispy zucchini fritters are my new breakfast crush. The saltiness of the bacon and the silkiness of the poached egg was the perfect accompaniment. I would have liked more on the plate, but that would have been greedy.
The rolls at the cafe were deemed delicious and filling.
